The poor dog was abused by its owner, who smeared glue on its fur and then dipped it in mud for entertainment, sparking outrage on social media.
Stories of dog abuse are nothing new, but whenever images of a dog being beaten or starved are posted online, it inevitably sparks outrage and pity for the beloved animal.
On November 4th, Nguyen Duy Dat posted a video on his personal page showing his dog Pascal covered in mud. The dog was trembling, frightened, and wary of everything around him… These images have haunted viewers.
Images of the abused dog have sparked outrage.
According to Duy Dat’s post on his personal page: “Pascal the dog was mistreated. This is the result of an owner’s scheme. They applied glue to the dog’s fur, then dipped it in mud. Then they left it there and let it fend for itself. After only a few minutes, it had a second layer of fur on its skin, hard as wax. Fortunately, the dog was rescued by a rescue center. However, it was severely frightened and psychologically affected.”

Immediately after being posted, the images of this poor dog received over 5,000 likes and thousands of comments expressing outrage from the online community.
As an animal lover, young Tuyet Van couldn’t help but feel heartbroken: “Oh my God, how could anyone treat a dog like that? They are also living beings. I would never condone the mistreatment of dogs because besides guarding the house, they are also like friends.”
Young Hường Hường commented sympathetically: “How could they be so cruel? Seeing the dog brought tears to my eyes. Those who mistreated it should be severely punished.”

The rescue center is taking care of the poor dog.
Images of this abused dog are still being shared, reminding viewers of the image of the dog whose mouth was taped shut, causing necrosis, in Ben Tre last year. Fortunately, that dog also received timely medical treatment.
Through these images, the uploader simply wants to convey the message: “Stop animal abuse.”
