The heartbreaking image of a stabbed dog lying weakly in the middle of the road left everyone devastated. The dog was in so much pain that even when people brought food right to its mouth, it no longer had the strength to eat.

The image of the stabbed dog lying in critical condition on Vo Chi Cong Street (Hanoi) evokes feelings of sorrow and sympathy in people.

Since early this morning (May 20th), Vietnamese social media has been abuzz with images and stories about a poor dog hit by a car on Vo Chi Cong Street (Hanoi). Wanting to find the owner of the unfortunate dog, MC Nguyen Minh Ha shared the story, witnessed by her family, on social media to ask for help.

“Around 4:30 this morning, on the way to the airport, my family witnessed this dog being hit by a car while crossing the road. My family said it struggled to crawl to the side of the road. When I passed by here on my way home, it was still lying there barely alive, it was heartbreaking.”

The dog was in so much pain that it didn’t even want to eat or drink when we offered it water or food. My mother ran around asking neighbors if anyone knew whose lost dog it was, but to no avail.

“My family called the pet rescue service, but it was too early and no one was working yet. I’m posting this here hoping the online community can help find the owner of this cat soon,” shared MC Minh Hà.

Minh Hà proactively contacted Facebook user Mai Phương to seek assistance.

Then, from a single status update, the story and image of this dog immediately spread rapidly on Vietnamese social media, with everyone hoping the dog would soon receive help and find a truly loving owner.

Thanks to the power of the online community, according to Minh Ha’s sharing, the dog was picked up by a woman from Hanoi Pet Rescue and taken to the center for treatment. There, doctors diagnosed that the dog did not have a broken leg, but its spinal cord was damaged from the strong impact of the car and needed continued monitoring and treatment.

The dog has been taken to Hanoi Pet Rescue for treatment and care.

While relieved that the poor dog received timely medical attention, netizens were nevertheless outraged by the actions of some heartless individuals who claimed to be the dog’s owner and offered to take it home to slaughter it. The offer was so blunt that it left the dog owner stunned and angry.

“After dropping my mother off, I went back to where the dog was. Just then, a woman on a pink bicycle passed by and asked about the dog. I was so happy, thinking she was the dog’s owner. It turned out she was asking for the dog to feed the construction workers, and the dog was still alive. I was so angry I couldn’t control myself and yelled, ‘How could you be so cruel?’ She immediately got on her bike and tried to take the dog. I had to chase her away before she left,” Minh Ha shared on her personal page.

But thankfully, after all that, the dog met and was with people who genuinely wanted to help and love it.

Minh Ha shared that while waiting for the dog and cat rescue team to arrive, many people claimed to be the dog’s owner in order to take it back for their own nefarious purposes.
