A red-brown Alaska dog was allegedly neutered by its own owner and then left starving to the point of severe infection and skin disease, leaving everyone heartbroken: “What did this poor dog ever do wrong to deserve so much pain?”
Vietnamese netizens are continuously sharing a photo of a reddish-brown Alaskan Malamute dog that was neutered and then mistreated and starved by its owner, resulting in a terrible infection and dermatitis.

Heartbreaking images of an Alaskan Malamute being abused by its owner have sparked outrage online.
“There’s a guy from PetViet Care from Hai Phong who came to Saigon. He was planning to bring some friends to participate in a dog show to take care of the dog. He agreed to leave the dog with Vietpet for 6 million VND, and because I felt sorry for the dog, I accepted that amount. He brought the dog to the PetViet community home, where there are many other unfortunate dogs like it. He’s treating the dog, and the doctor says it’s showing very good progress. Many philanthropists want to donate to its treatment, but he hasn’t accepted any.”
This information, after being shared on social media, has angered many netizens. According to Facebook user BVHM, the most heartless thing is that the owner mistreated the Alaskan Malamute and then tried to sell it for 6 million VND. Fortunately, the dog fell into the hands of a kind and enthusiastic team of veterinarians. The online community couldn’t help but feel sorry for the dog’s miserable and tragic situation, a sled dog of the Alaskan Malamute breed, and hopes that this poor dog will soon find a peaceful life with a new owner.

Alaskan Malamutes are primarily bred in the icy Arctic and regions with year-round snow cover. Recently, sled dogs have appeared in many major cities in Vietnam. These dogs originate from Western countries with harsh, cold climates. They have very thick coats to withstand the icy cold and snow. Few would imagine they could survive in Vietnam’s hot and humid conditions. Therefore, raising Alaskan Malamutes is very elaborate and requires dedicated and genuine love from their owners. The price of Alaskan Malamutes in Vietnam is also not cheap. Alaskan Malamutes are extremely intelligent dogs, capable of learning very quickly and being very obedient. The mistreatment of the aforementioned Alaskan Malamute is a huge shock to the community of people who love this wonderful sled dog breed. |
