The clip shows a hooligan laughing maniacally, repeatedly throwing his bulldog down the stairs, and even stomping on the poor dog.

A 22-year -old man named Andrew Frankish, living in Redcar, North Yorkshire, England, repeatedly abused his dog by throwing it down stairs, violently shaking it, and mercilessly stomping on it.

This horrific scene was filmed by the younger brother of the person in the video, Daniel, 19 years old. After being abused, the poor dog could no longer walk on its hind legs and was in a coma for 3 months

Last week, at Hartlepool Magistrates Court, the two young men were convicted of animal cruelty and sentenced to 21 weeks in prison, suspended for two years and subject to a six-month curfew.

The clip was recorded two years ago, in October 2013, but the incident only came to light after it was discovered on a memory card found in a supermarket.

The young man, named Andrew Frankish, lifted the dog high into the air and threw it down the stairs.

Gemma Lynch, an inspector for the Royal Society for the Protection of Animals (RSPCA), said: “What we see in the clip is horrific. These two cruel young men considered torturing the dog a form of entertainment.”

“I used to own a dog myself and I don’t understand why they would treat an animal so cruelly,” Inspector Gemma Lynch said angrily, as this was the most brutal case of abuse he had ever dealt with.

A petition on Change.org to increase the charges against these two young men has received over 62,000 signatures and is still growing. If it gathers 100,000 signatures, the petition will be eligible to be presented to Congress.

The plaintiff, Alex Richardson-Lee, 24, a military doctor in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, said the two young men should receive the punishment they deserve for their cruel actions.

“These young men were clearly having fun mistreating their dog while the dog was terrified and defenseless. I’m not going to let this go ,” Richardson-Lee said angrily.

Alex has also set up a fund to help the dog. 100% of the donations will go to the Royal Society for the Protection of Animals to care for Baby, the abused dog, and to support the lawsuit.

Richardson-Lee also shared, “Even if I didn’t achieve the results I hoped for, at least I did something useful.”
