After suffering abuse from its own owner for 10 years, the little dog could no longer even stand on its own legs when it was finally rescued. Seeing its body reduced to skin and bones left everyone heartbroken
Having been abused for many years, a poor dog was found severely malnourished and with serious injuries to its two hind legs.
Dogs are beloved by many for their loyalty and adorable appearance. They should ideally be cared for and treated like good companions by their owners, but in this case, poor Judith was subjected to extremely cruel abuse for 10 years.
Judith has found a new life after more than 10 years of brutal abuse.
No one could have imagined that Judith was deprived of her freedom to run and play because her legs were constantly chained for extended periods. Furthermore, her heartless owner repeatedly urinated on the poor dog from the porch.
No one cared about its life or death, no one gave it food and water every day. The dog had never even known what it was like to have a warm blanket to cover itself with on a cold winter day.
Faced with Judith’s pitiful situation, neighbors tried to contact the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) in British Columbia, Canada, to report the little dog’s “hell on earth” life.
However, the organization has taken no significant action other than suggesting they would take Judith away from her current owner. Even more horrifying, they would grant the dog a humane death if they received $50 (approximately over 1 million VND).
Disappointed with the SPCA’s attitude, another kind-hearted person decided to contact the humanitarian organization Animal Advocates.
Fortunately, they arrived quickly to investigate and were truly shocked by Judith’s miserable condition. It was a cold winter evening, and Judith was huddled in a pile of wet mud mixed with feces and urine, covered in white snow.
Immediately, Animal Advocates exerted legal pressure, forcing the owner to relinquish ownership of Judith and rescue the poor dog, bringing her back to their center.
When she was first rescued, Judith was severely malnourished and dehydrated. The dog was almost unable to walk normally due to deformities in her hips and hind legs – a consequence of years of mistreatment and lack of medical care.
Judith’s fur was also covered in mud, making movement increasingly difficult. It even prevented Judith from wagging her tail like other dogs.
Initially, the previous owner gave the dog a terrible name: Judas. But the staff at Animal Advocates discussed it and unanimously agreed to change it to Judith.
Despite her unattractive appearance and numerous serious injuries sustained during years of brutal abuse, Judith remains a lovable dog with a friendly and warm heart.
Therefore, the dog was adopted by two new owners and raised in a truly happy home. They even made a makeshift “wheelchair” to help the little dog move around.
Although Judith only lived for another 18 months due to failing health, she surely felt immense love and warmth during the final days of her life.
After being rescued, the rescuers had to wash Judith three times before all the mud and dirt on the little dog finally came off.
